Softball Recap: Kaufman Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Kaufman faced off against Midlothian on Friday. The Kaufman Lions lost 20-4 to the Midlothian Panthers. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Izabella Garnica made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February of 2024.

Kaufman now has a losing record of 5-6-2. As for Midlothian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-5-1.

Looking ahead, Kaufman will head out on the road to face off against Red Oak at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Kaufman is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Midlothian, they will square off against Ennis at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Ennis' favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
