Volleyball Game Preview: Baylor Red Raiders vs. CSTHEA Patriots

Baylor has gone a perfect 3-0 against CSTHEA recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Red Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Baylor will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Baylor is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Tennessee's top teams: Girls Preparatory School, who was ranked 24th at the time (Baylor was ranked eighth). The Red Raiders walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bruisers on Tuesday.

While Baylor might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Girls Preparatory School scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 26-24, 16-25, 25-20.

Meanwhile, CSTHEA came up short against Knoxville T on Thursday and fell 3-1. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

CSTHEA was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Knoxville T work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-16, 10-25, 25-17.

CSTHEA's loss dropped their record down to 24-7. As for Baylor, their victory bumped their record up to 23-5.

Everything went Baylor's way against CSTHEA when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Baylor made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Red Raiders repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
