Baseball Recap: Potts Camp Victorious

It was a proper cat-fight when Potts Camp faced off against Byers on Tuesday. The Cardinals came out on top against the Lions by a score of 7-2. The win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won nine in a row.

J.T. Wilson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

Wilson wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Alfredo Ramirez, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Braxton Totten was another, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs.

Potts Camp's record now sits at 12-5. As for Byers, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Potts Camp didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 15-14 victory against Hickory Flat on the 7th. As for Byers, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 17-1 defeat against Byhalia on the 10th.
