Basketball Recap: Happy Camp Sets Scoring Season-High Against Tulelake

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Happy Camp). They secured a 64-60 W over the Tulelake Honkers on Saturday. The win was some much needed relief for the Indians as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Leading Happy Camp to victory were Byron Roberts and Jean Wright. Roberts went 10 for 16 on his way to 25 points and six steals, while Wright dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 boards. Wright continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Joaquin Aubrey, who posted two points and five rebounds.

Happy Camp smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January.

The victory got Happy Camp back to even at 4-4. As for Tulelake, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Happy Camp didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-42 win against Surprise Valley on the 17th. As for Tulelake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 81-42 defeat against Bonanza on the 17th.
