Basketball Recap: Grace Academy Lions vs. Queen's Grant Stallions
The Grace Academy Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 84-61 walloping at the hands of Queen's Grant. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game back in December of 2023 (59), Grace Academy still had to take the loss.
Garrett Morgan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Queen's Grant, scoring 40 points along with seven steals. Another player making a difference was Kenston Richardson, who scored 27 points along with two steals.
Grace Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Queen's Grant, the win got them back to even at 12-12.
Grace Academy will head out on the road to challenge the Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Charlotte Lab School is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Queen's Grant, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. One thing working in Piedmont Community Charter's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 12 contests.
