Highland has gone a perfect 5-0 against Gilbert recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Hawks will head out on the road to challenge the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Highland has three straight wins, Gilbert has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Highland is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Brophy College Prep, who was ranked fourth at the time (Highland was ranked fifth). The Hawks put the hurt on the Broncos with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Hawks have posted against the Broncos since March 28, 2023.

Meanwhile, Gilbert lost 3-0 to Higley on Friday.

While Gilbert was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Higley's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-13, 25-15.

Highland's victory bumped their record up to 22-9-1. As for Gilbert, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.

Everything went Highland's way against Gilbert in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Highland made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
