Basketball Recap: Highland Sets Scoring Season-High Against Seven Lakes

Highland scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 84-80 to the Seven Lakes Spartans. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (57), the Hawks still had to take the loss.

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Grady Crandall, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 19 points and seven boards. Thanks to that strong game, Crandall now owns an excellent 43.5% three-point shooting accuracy. Tyson Cutchen was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Highland fell to 3-1. As for Seven Lakes, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Highland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-64 loss against Mesa on the 29th. As for Seven Lakes, they have also already played their next game, a 94-68 win against Willow Canyon on the 29th.
