Soccer Game Preview: Brawley vs. Central

The Brawley Wildcats will face off against the Central Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Brawley had taken Southwest EC down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Wildcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central). Their defense stepped up to hand Holtville a 9-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for Central, who have now won eight matches in a row.

Brawley has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10-3 record this season. As for Central, their victory bumped their record up to 21-0-3.
