Baseball Recap: Ennis Gets the Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Ennis duked it out with Mabank on Saturday. The Lions skirted past the Panthers 3-2.

Ennis secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Beau Rudd, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave Rudd a new career-high.

Ennis' victory bumped their record up to 3-1-1. As for Mabank, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Ennis and Mabank will both be playing Bowie the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Volunteers at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
