Softball Recap: King/Drew Beats Fremont for Their Third Straight Victory

King/Drew never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on the Fremont Pathfinders with a sharp 9-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Golden Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.

Jordan Garcia made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run.

In other batting news, Arianna Lawrence was incredible, going 1-for-3 with five stolen bases and two runs. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Kaiya Downs, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

King/Drew's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Fremont, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

King/Drew has already played their next match, a 16-2 defeat against Port of Los Angeles on the 8th. As for Fremont, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-5 loss against Harbor Teacher on the 9th.
