Baseball Recap: Greenville Comes Up Short

Greenville fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Hillcrest on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 6-5. That's two games in a row now that the Red Raiders have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Greenville and nudges their season record down to 4-14. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Hillcrest, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-9.

Coming up, Greenville will square off against Wren at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hillcrest, they will face off against Laurens at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
