Soccer Recap: Smyrna Comes Up Short

Smyrna was the 3-1 winner over Cape Henlopen when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Smyrna's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cape Henlopen, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Smyrna will square off against rival Polytech at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cape Henlopen is set to take on their familiar foe Sussex Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
