Softball Recap: Wednesday's Loss Ends Springfield's Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Springfield can now relate to. They lost 13-1 to the East Moline United Panthers on Wednesday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Senators, who until this match were averaging 3.12 runs allowed.

Springfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mia Volpert, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. Emma Marcum also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.
