Soccer Game Preview: Ysleta vs. Decatur

The Ysleta Indians will take on the Decatur Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ysleta is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

Ysleta is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They beat Lake View by a goal, winning 3-2. The win was all the more spectacular given Ysleta's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 489th, while Lake View are ranked 220th).

Edwin Martinez and Adrian Escalante scored all three of Ysleta's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

Meanwhile, Decatur put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over West Plains. That's two games straight that Decatur have won by exactly two goals.

Ysleta's win bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Decatur, their victory bumped their record up to 19-0-2.
