Southern Lehigh gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. Everything went their way against the Quakertown Panthers as they made off with a 35-14 victory. The Spartans have beaten the Panthers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.

When it comes to explaining why Quakertown lost, don't look at Carter Tucholski. Despite the final result, he rushed for 64 yards and one score, and also picked up 43 receiving yards. Tucholski got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 67 yards.

Looking ahead, Southern Lehigh will square off against Blue Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Spartans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Quakertown, they will take on Pennsbury at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
