Softball Game Preview: Redford Union Panthers vs. Garden City Cougars

Redford Union hasn't had much luck against Garden City recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. Redford Union has given up an average of 13.2 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Redford Union is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to Cousino, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Garden City had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Panthers a 15-0 shutout. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Garden City pushed their record up to 13-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Redford Union, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14-1.
