Softball Recap: Newark Memorial Cougars vs. Burlingame Panthers

After losing to Burlingame the last time they met, Newark Memorial decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Newark Memorial Cougars walked away with a 7-4 win over the Burlingame Panthers on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Ariana Romo was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Romo was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.
