Sidwell Friends skates past Fairfax Christian with ease

The Sidwell Friends Quakers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Sunday. They really took it to Fairfax Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-36 victory on the road. Sidwell Friends has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 21 points or more this season.

Leading Sidwell Friends to victory were Acaden Lewis and Jalen Rougier-roane. Lewis scored 13 points along with six assists and five rebounds, while Rougier-roane scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Caleb Williams was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nijel Howard, who scored ten points along with two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ke'Juan Richburg, who scored eight points.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Sidwell Friends, bringing their record for this year to 13-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.6 points per game. As for Fairfax Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-3.

Sidwell Friends on the road again on Tuesday and play against St. James at 5:45 p.m. on January 23rd. St. James is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. As for Fairfax Christian, they will be playing at home against Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Highland has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 877 points over their last 12 contests.
