Basketball Recap: Golden Plains Takes a Loss

Golden Plains lost against Wichita County back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Golden Plains Bulldogs came up short against the Wichita County Indians, falling 58-33. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Indians are ranked 12th).

This is the second loss in a row for Golden Plains and nudges their season record down to 3-4. As for Wichita County, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Golden Plains will take on Western Plains at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wichita County, they will square off against Southwestern Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Southwestern Heights will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Wichita County surely won't give up without a fight.
