Jenkintown and Delaware County Christian are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Drakes will square off against the Knights at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Jenkintown is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Jenkintown didn't have quite enough to beat Valley Forge Military Academy and fell 3-2.

Lincoln Auxter was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, earning one run and two stolen bases.

In other batting news, Andreas Kergides was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Delaware County Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 9-5 to Faith Christian Academy.

Matteo DeBellis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Delaware County Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-2 (and 3-7 when he doesn't).

Jenkintown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Delaware County Christian, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Jenkintown has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Delaware County Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Jenkintown suffered a grim 18-2 defeat to Delaware County Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Drakes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
