Basketball Recap: Wayne Comes Up Short

Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 42-39 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chariton Chargers. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly three points.

Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Chariton, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Wayne is taking a road trip to challenge Moulton-Udell on Thursday. As for Chariton, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 47-26 victory against Clarke on the 6th.
