Basketball Recap: Park Tudor Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Park Tudor Panthers didn't have quite enough to beat the Evansville Harrison Warriors and fell 66-63. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Warriors are ranked 65th).

Evansville Harrison got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Shane Sims out in front who went 9 of 14 en route to 22 points along with six boards and five assists. The match was Sims' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooks Thomas, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 18 points and six rebounds.

Park Tudor's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Evansville Harrison, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Park Tudor will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lawrence Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for Evansville Harrison, they will square off against Henderson County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Evansville Harrison is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.5 points per game this season.
