Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Goodland). They walked away with a 78-70 win over the Colby Eagles on Tuesday. The Cowboys haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Goodland's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points over those games. As for Colby, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7.

Goodland and Colby should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. Goodland will face off against Ulysses at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 127 places (11 vs. 138). Similarly, Colby (ranked 42nd) will meet Cimarron (ranked 215th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
