Basketball Recap: Capac Comes Up Short

Capac lost against Harbor Beach back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Capac Chiefs were dealt a 71-36 defeat at the hands of the Harbor Beach Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Chiefs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 553rd, while the Pirates are ranked 51st).

Capac has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. The victory (which was Harbor Beach's 13th in a row) raised their record to 19-1.

Coming up, Capac and Algonac will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. As for Harbor Beach, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Memphis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Harbor Beach's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten contests.
