Softball Recap: 15 Straight Home Victories for Eustis

On Friday Eustis's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against The Villages Charter Buffalo. The three-run effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Carson Roden spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Emmy Luke was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Powhida, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-1.

Eustis pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. As for The Villages Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Eustis didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-0 victory against Key West on the 11th. As for The Villages Charter, they have also already played their next game, a 6-4 defeat against Santa Fe on the 12th.
