Soccer Recap: Sumner Falls Short Against Ranked Emerald Ridge

Sumner faced Emerald Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Spartans fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 1-0. Sumner have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Sumner's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Emerald Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Sumner nor Emerald Ridge have any future games scheduled.
