Football Recap: Scintilla Charter Academy Comes Up Short

Scintilla Charter Academy fell victim to Brookwood and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Warriors and fell 44-0.

Pearce Hightower was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 55 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 57 yards and one TD. Those 55 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Scintilla Charter Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Brookwood, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Coming up, Scintilla Charter Academy will square off against Southwest Georgia STEM Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Brookwood, they will challenge Southland Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
