Ellington put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's fifth consecutive shutout on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Granby Memorial Bears a 3-0 shutout. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The result came thanks to Camryn Fisher's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 17 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mickyla Wong, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, one triple, and one stolen base. Alexis Flori was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

Ellington's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.2 runs on average over those games. As for Granby Memorial, they moved to 9-3 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
