Recap: Breckenridge Buckaroos vs. Eastland Mavericks
The Breckenridge Buckaroos were the 48-32 winner over the Eastland Mavericks when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Breckenridge was the victim of a tough 62-42 loss at the hands of Eastland on Tuesday. Breckenridge was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-11.
Despite the loss, Breckenridge still got an impressive performance from Zaea Ragle, who scored 17 points along with six blocks and five rebounds. Ragle scored a full 40.5% of Breckenridge's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Mia Castillo, who scored eight points.
Breckenridge has been struggling recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season. As for Eastland, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.
Breckenridge will head out on the road to face off against Dublin at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Eastland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Comanche at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Comanche is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road.
