Softball Recap: Smith County Wins Going Away Against Cumberland County

Smith County never let their opponents score on Monday. They blew past the Cumberland County Jets 15-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-9 last Monday.

The win made it two in a row for Smith County and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12 runs. As for Cumberland County, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Smith County will take on Pickett County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cumberland County, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against DeKalb County at 5:30 p.m. Cumberland County has given up an average of 11.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
