Anaheim extended their winning streak to ten on Friday, bumping their season record up to 15-1 in the process. Everything went their way against the Los Amigos Lobos as they made off with a 23-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Colonists, who have now won 11 games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Taylor Falt was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jenelle Monzon, who fired off two home runs, five runs, and seven RBI while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Kamila Ramirez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles.
Anaheim kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 24 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in ten consecutive contests.
As for Los Amigos, they moved to 11-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
On Los Amigos' side, Leah Lemusu was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.
