Volleyball Recap: Keislyn Poss Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Adams Central

St. Paul won the last time they faced Adams Central and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wildcats came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

While St. Paul might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Adams Central scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 26-28, 25-18.

St. Paul's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Keislyn Poss, who had 18 digs and six assists. Those six assists gave Poss a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zaya Lewis, who hit 83.3% for five kills and 15 digs and one block.

Adams Central's loss came despite strong showings from Abigail Paradies and Brynn Smith. Paradies had 23 digs and five assists, while Smith had 25 assists and seven digs. Peighton Hinton was another key player, getting 23 assists and nine digs.

St. Paul's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Adams Central, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Paul will be taking part in a tournament against Elkhorn Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Adams Central, they will venture away from home to take on Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
