Baseball Recap: Westfield Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Governor Livingston

Westfield faced Governor Livingston in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Highlanders by a score of 8-7. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Highlanders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Braeden Trajkovski was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Jordan, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Westfield fell to 7-1. As for Governor Livingston, the win keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.
