Volleyball Recap: River Valley Starts Season with Win Against Wynford

River Valley took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Wynford Royals as they made off with a 3-0 win. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

River Valley not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Wynford between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-16, 25-18.

Myla Kenney paced River Valley's offense, picking up 18 kills. Kenney got some help from Hayley Wickersham and her 22 assists. Kenney was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. River Valley will head out to take on Marion Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wynford, they will venture away from home to face off against Ridgedale at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
