River Valley gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Wynford Royals with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Vikings not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 24, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

River Valley not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Wynford between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 25-18.

Myla Kenney paced River Valley's offense, picking up 18 kills. Kenney got some help from Hayley Wickersham and her 22 assists. Kenney was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

River Valley has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Pleasant on the 20th. As for Wynford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Ridgedale on the 20th.
