Baseball Game Preview: Crossroads Christian Colts vs. Lee Christian Falcons

Crossroads Christian is 8-2 against Lee Christian since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Crossroads Christian Colts will look to defend their home field against the Lee Christian Falcons at 5:15 p.m. The timing is sure in Crossroads Christian's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Lee Christian has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

On Monday, Crossroads Christian got the win against Ridgecroft by a conclusive 7-1.

Jackson Anderson made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season.

In other batting news, Cody Paschall and Ben Adcock did most of the damage at the plate: Paschall scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4, while Adcock went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Paschall has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Danny Wieninger was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Crossroads Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ridgecroft only posted a batting average of .048.

Meanwhile, Lee Christian lost 9-2 to Neuse Christian Academy on Friday.

Lee Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Crossroads Christian, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-1.

Everything went Crossroads Christian's way against Lee Christian when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Crossroads Christian made off with a 14-0 victory.
