Soccer Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

After flying high against West Adams last Wednesday, Jefferson came back down to earth. The Jefferson Democrats fell just short of the Diego Rivera Huskies by a score of 2-1 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Democrats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 back in January.

Jefferson has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Diego Rivera, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-7-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson will challenge Los Angeles at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Los Angeles will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Jefferson surely won't give up without a fight. As for Diego Rivera, they will take on Manual Arts at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Diego Rivera is facing Manual Arts at the right time seeing as Manual Arts is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
