Soccer Game Preview: WISH Academy vs. Animo Venice

WISH Academy and Animo Venice are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2020, but likely not for long. The WISH Academy Owls will face off against the Animo Venice Pirates at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, WISH Academy came up short against Burton and fell 3-1. That's two games in a row now that the Owls have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Animo Venice came up short against Port of Los Angeles on Monday, falling 9-2. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 8-1.

Animo Venice dropped their record down to 5-5-2 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for WISH Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5-2.

WISH Academy beat Animo Venice 4-2 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Will WISH Academy repeat their success, or does Animo Venice have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
