Football Recap: Marina Comes Up Short on the Road Against Mission Viejo + How To Watch

Marina kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 12-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mission Viejo Diablos. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Vikings couldn't quite close it out.

Leah Vanderveen was nothing short of spectacular for Mission Viejo: she picked up 99 receiving yards and two scores. Vanderveen got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 61 yards.

Marina has already played their next contest, a 25-0 loss against El Dorado on the 13th. As for Mission Viejo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 53-0 defeat against Classical Academy on the 15th.
