Baseball Recap: Jefferson Yellowjackets vs. Lincoln Lynx
Jefferson had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 2-9 to make it four. They came up short against the Lincoln Lynx, falling 14-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lynx this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 on Tuesday.
As for Lincoln, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games.
For Lincoln's part, Evan Lang made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Lang has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
