After a string of 11 wins, East Gaston's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against the Pisgah Bears, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Warriors have suffered since October 17, 2024.

While East Gaston ultimately came up short, they really made Pisgah work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19, 27-25.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emma Horneman, who had 12 digs. Horneman is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Cooper Payne was another key player, getting 12 digs.

East Gaston's defeat dropped their record down to 24-5. As for Pisgah, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-11.

East Gaston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pisgah, they will challenge South Rowan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
