Standish-Sterling and Gladwin are an even 4-4 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Panthers will face off against the Flying G's at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Standish-Sterling knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Gladwin likes a good challenge.

On Tuesday, Standish-Sterling made easy work of Shepherd and carried off a 7-1 victory. Standish-Sterling haven't had any issues with Shepherd recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Gladwin was forced to settle for a draw. They and Pinconning finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw on Tuesday.

Standish-Sterling's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. Gladwin's draw makes their record 4-2-1 this season.

Standish-Sterling got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March against Gladwin by a conclusive 7-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
