Basketball Game Preview: Argyle Eagles vs. Grapevine Mustangs

The Argyle Eagles will square off against the Grapevine Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Tuesday, Argyle didn't have quite enough to beat Richland and fell 46-43. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Grapevine came up short against Colleyville Heritage on Tuesday and fell 47-38. The Mustangs have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Argyle's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Grapevine, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-13.

Argyle got the 'W' when the teams last played back in February of 2025 against Grapevine by a conclusive 58-34 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
