Soccer Recap: Chaparral Comes Up Short

Chaparral was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the University Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on February 7th.

Chaparral now has a losing record of 6-7. As for University, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Chaparral take on the Waco at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for University, they will square off against Belton at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Belton comes in on nine and University on four.
