Hagerty had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down the Lake Howell Silverhawks 40-21 on Friday. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Silverhawks recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Royce Jenkins was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 241 yards and three TDs while completing 82.4% of his passes. Hagerty's leading receiver Greg (Tre) Weatherington III was Jenkins' top target yet again, picking up 97 receiving yards and one score.

Hagerty's run defense was locked in: Lake Howell could only muster 0.9 yards per carry. The Huskies didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.1.

Coming up, Hagerty will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Boone at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Howell, they will venture away from home to take on Flagler Palm Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
