Basketball Recap: Eaton Rapids Takes a Loss

Eaton Rapids was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Ionia Bulldogs, falling 50-27. The contest marked the Greyhounds' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Eaton Rapids' loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Ionia, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6.

Eaton Rapids and Ionia could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Eaton Rapids (ranked 564th) will meet Mason (ranked 28th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Ionia will face off against Portland at 5:30 p.m. on January 31st down 169 places (250 vs. 81).
