Recap: Classen SAS Comets vs. Midwest City Bombers
The Classen SAS Comets pushed their score all the way to 57 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 58-57 to Midwest City. Classen SAS was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Midwest City apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2021.
Classen SAS's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Skylar Durley, who scored 28 points along with 5 steals. Durley scored a full 49.1% of Classen SAS's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Makiya Moore, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds.
Classen SAS now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Midwest City, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Classen SAS won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lawton at 3:00 p.m. on December 8th. Midwest City's road trip will continue as they head out to face Marshall at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th.
