John Gunhammer leads St. Francis Indian to victory over Wakpala

The St. Francis Indian Warriors won the last time they faced the Wakpala Sioux, and things went their way on Friday too. St. Francis Indian snuck past Wakpala with a 46-42 win.
Among those leading the charge was John Gunhammer, who scored 19 points along with four steals. Ethan Spotted Tail was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
St. Francis Indian now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Wakpala, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
St. Francis Indian will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Mitchell Christian at 1:30 p.m. on January 6th. Wakpala will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lemmon at 8:00 p.m. on January 9th.
