Soccer Game Preview: Belfry vs. Prestonsburg

Belfry is 1-9 against Prestonsburg since October of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Pirates will challenge the Blackcats at 6:00 p.m. Belfry will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each matchup than the last.

Belfry is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Knott County Central a 9-0 shutout on Saturday. Belfry's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Meanwhile, Prestonsburg came up short against Lawrence County on Monday, falling 5-1.

Prestonsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Belfry, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.

Belfry suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Prestonsburg in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
