Softball Game Preview: Westwood Panthers vs. Elysian Fields Yellowjackets

The Westwood Panthers will start their season against the Elysian Fields Yellowjackets. First pitch is scheduled at 11:20 a.m. on Saturday.

Elysian Fields had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 13-0 to Redwater. The Yellowjackets just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row dating back to last season.

Their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

As for Westwood, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they finished 10-20.

Westwood came up short against Elysian Fields in their previous meeting back in February of 2019, falling 10-7. Can Westwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
